Administration |
| The library director's office is located on the south side of the
second floor near the Reference Room. Adjacent to it is the Ralph
Schilling room, a meeting room with a small kitchen attached, which is
available for campus meetings. |

| Reference Desk |
| As you enter the second floor from the elevators you will
immediately see the Reference Desk. Librarians and other library
staff are available at all times to help you with your research. The
Reference area includes 80 PCs with Internet access, the library
catalog, web databases and other research tools. Printing is
available. If you are not sure where to start, or need help using
the catalog or a database, ask at the desk for assistance. |

| Group Study
Rooms |
Group study rooms are found along the south side of the second
floor, and are available to students of 3 or more on a first-come
basis. The room can be used by an individual as long as there is not a
request for group studies. Library staff can ask individual to leave
the room when there is a group study request. For more information on

| Reference Books |
| The Reference Collection begins behind the reference desk.
Reference books are arranged by the Library of
Congress Classification Schedule beginning alphabetically with A
and continuing through Z in the back of the reference area on the South
Side. Reference books are for use only in the reference room and may
not be checked out or removed from the second floor. |

| Oversize Collection |
|
| The Oversize Collection is a collection of large or oversized
books, too tall to fit on the normal bookshelves. Spine labels on these
books display the word OVERS above the call number. |

| Juvenile
Collection |
| This collection consists of a sampling of books for pre-school
through high school, and are located along the north wall of the fourth
floor. All, except books labeled JuvR (Juvenile Reference), may be
checked out. Juvenile books in Spanish are labeled JuvS. |

|
| Bound Periodicals |
| Older magazines and journals not on microform are bound together
within a hard cover and are shelved in call number order. |

| Print Journals |
Print Journals are located on the second floor west according to
the Library of Congress
Classification System. For help with these journals, please
contact Reference Desk personnel.
